Privacy Policy for LenderRecall (iOS)

LenderRecall is designed to keep your data private and under your control.

1. Data Collection and Handling

LenderRecall does not automatically collect, transmit, or sell personal data.

The app stores only information you manually enter, including:

• Item name/description
• Person’s name
• Transaction date
• Optional linked photo

If you choose a photo, LenderRecall stores that photo locally on your device for use in the app.

2. Data Storage and Retention

Local Storage

Your app data is stored locally on your device in the app’s private storage. LenderRecall does not use external servers or third-party cloud databases for operational data.

If you delete the app, locally stored app data is removed from the device, except any copies retained in backups managed by Apple.

iOS Backups

Your device may include app data in encrypted iOS/iCloud backups depending on your Apple settings. Backup control is managed by Apple and your device/account settings.

3. Data Sharing

LenderRecall does not automatically share your data.

Data is shared only when you explicitly use the in-app share feature (Apple Share Sheet / ShareLink). Shared content may include item details and person name text for the specific item you choose to share. Any data you share is then handled by the third-party app you choose (for example, Messages or Mail), subject to that app’s privacy policy.

4. Permissions

LenderRecall requests minimal permissions:

• Photos access (optional): Used only when you choose to add or change a photo for an item. Photo selection is performed through the iOS system photo picker.

LenderRecall does not request or use sensitive permissions such as location, microphone, contacts, or SMS.

5. Children’s Privacy

LenderRecall is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

6. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Updates will be posted at this policy URL.
